What if Hillary Clinton had become president in 2016? Join Women Rule editorial director Anna Palmer for a virtual interview with Curtis Sittenfeld, author of “Rodham” to discuss her novel, which reimagines Hillary Clinton’s life and political career without a marriage to Bill Clinton and claiming victory as the first female U.S. president. The interview will also cover what it’s like to release a book during a pandemic without access to meeting readers in person and how Curtis is working with independently owned bookstores, which are among the small businesses hurting during the current crisis.
The interview is part of the “Women and Covid-19, Small business owners in Crisis” series. The pandemic has pushed all small businesses to the edge of survival, but women-owned small businesses are having to navigate previous hurdles, such as lack of access to capital, in addition to now being shut out of the Payment Protection Plan, struggling to find child care and pivoting their business operations because of social distancing restrictions and the economic shutdown.
